My Washer is leaking, is this serious?
Yes, if your Whirlpool or Kenmore Washer is leaking water on the floor, don't wait too long to have it repaired. If the pump is leaking, it is quite likely that it is leaking on the motor. Have it repaired now and save the cost of a new motor.

My Dryer takes twice as long to dry clothes as it used to. What's the matter with it?
Normally this problem is caused by a congested dryer - full of lint. Even if you clean the filter after every load, some of the lint gets past the filter into the air flow. This lint can cover the operating thermostat stopping it from cycling the element. When this happens, the element cycles on the safety thermostat which has a lot longer cycle time than the operating thermostat. If unattended, this lint can get into the motor and cause it to overheat and even burn out. The air flow and vent must be clear of lint for the dryer to work properly.

I cleaned all the lint out of my dryer, but I still get long drying times, What else could it be?
If you have either an unusally long duct run (20 ft or more), or more than a few elbows in the duct piping, airflow may be restricted, causing lint buildup inside the duct. The duct and dryer both need to be cleared of all lint by a service technician.
