On April 4, 2012 at approximately 0102 hours, TFC S. Murphy was patrolling northbound on Maryland Route 5, south of Maryland Route 925 when he observed a Silver Dodge Caravan displaying Maryland Dealer Registration. A routine check through MVA/NCIC revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen through the Howard County Police Department on March 30, 2012. TFC Murphy conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Joyetta Yolanda Moore, 47 years, of Washington D.C. Moore was arrested for “did unlawfully, knowingly, and willfully take out of CARMAX Auto Superstore lawful custody, control and use, a motor vehicle to wit: a 2010 Silver Dodge Caravan without consent of said CARMAX in violation of CR 7-105 of the Annotated Code of Maryland” and “did willfully neglect to return a motor vehicle to wit: Silver 2010 Dodge Caravan after leasing/renting said motor vehicle from CARMAX Auto Superstore under an agreement to return said motor vehicle at the end of the leasing/rental period”.
