Investigating/Arresting Officer: Cpl. Wilson
Summary: On the above date and time, Cpl. Wilson stopped a black Toyota Avalon for speeding westbound Pomfret Road E/O Phillips Rd in Pomfret, Charles County The driver was identified by his Maryland driver’s license as Tony James Corona. Corona submitted to and did not successfully complete a battery of field sobriety tests. Corona admitted to taking a prescription drug that the arresting officer thought had impaired his ability to operate a motor vehicle safely. A breath test and a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation was performed on Corona which led to Corona being charged with driving while impaired by drugs and the above other traffic charges.
