Maryland State Police Incident Report

Time: 1703 hours
Location: Mattawoman-Beantown Road @ Chipmunck Place, Waldorf, Charles County, Maryland.
Summary: On Saturday, April 06, 2013 @ approximately 1631 hours, Trooper K. Robinson of the Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack stopped a Nissan Maxima for a seatbelt and window tint violation. Contact was made with the owner/operator of the vehicle identified as 30 year old Derrick Tracy Carter 2nd. Carter was confirmed wanted on an open warrant by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear in District Court. He was placed under arrest for that open warrant. A search of his person revealed a metal grinder containing suspected CDS Marijuana residue recovered from Carter’s coat pocket.
A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 529 grams (more than a pound) of suspected CDS Marijuana. Also recovered were six plastic bags containing 54 clear capsules of suspected MDMA (Ecstasy), one digital scale used to weigh CDS marijuana, and nine hundred eighty four dollars ($984.00) in US Currency.
Carter, and the vehicle’s passenger, 24 year old Carlean Murphy, were transported to the Charles County Detention Center and charged with Possession with intent to distribute CDS MDMA (Ecstasy), and Possession with intent to distribute CDS Marijuana.
