Metro plans to run extra trains this Thursday for those of use heading to DC for Fourth of July festivities.
It will run a weekend schedule that day, opening at 7 a.m. instead of 5, but will stay open until midnight and run at near rush hour service levels. More than five thousand people are projected to ride the rail to the district.
