Due to extreme temperatures over the next several days, Metro customers are again being allowed to carry and drink water on buses, trains and inside stations.
The exception through Monday night applies to water only. Customers are encouraged to use containers that tightly seal and to use trashcans to dispose of waste.
For now, there are no speed restrictions due to the heat, but extremely high temperatures can place a strain on rails. Customers are encouraged to sign up for MetroAlerts to get updates on any delays.
