Metro Engineers Identify Intercom Malfunction

by Deirdre Blake posted Jun 19 2013 4:03PM
Metro engineers have found the problem that caused a red line train's intercom to fail when riders tried to report a fight.
They say the system on older rail cars is too weak to communicate fully with the newer cars when they are in front. Fornow any six-thousand series cars will never be in the lead. All 184 of them will get a control panel upgrade to fix the issue permanently by early August.
