More Religious Freedom Could Come to Public Schools

Regardless of how you feel about it, a change to prayer in Virginia's public schools could be on the way.
In a narrow victory, a Senate committee in Richmond advanced the plan yesterday to give students stronger rights to voluntarily pray, organize prayer groups in school and wear religious-themed clothing. The ACLU says passing the law, would introduce confusion with no actual benefit to anyone. The proposal now goes to the full Senate.
