More Undergrads Being Accepted to UMW

For the first time in the schools more than 100 year history, the University of Mary Washington is admitting more than 80% of its undergraduate applicants.
And the number has risen over the last decade. But the admission department says the hike does not signal a decline in the quality of students. The average GPA for an incoming freshman this fall was 3.53.
