Mortars and Other Big Boy Fireworks Could Become Legal in Virginia

If one plan passes by lawmakers in Richmond, you could stop having to drive to South of the Border in South Carolina or Phantoms in Pennsylvania to buy big fireworks.
Some area Senators say people do it anyway, so it shuldn't be illegal to shoot mortars and the other big boys. Another one even wants people to be able to sell them too, to create more jobs. Right now, the state code only allows sparklers, fountains, pharaoh's serpents, pinwheels and whirligigs.
