Nearly Five Foot Pothole in Stafford Snarls Traffic

If you drove on I-95 south near the exit to Route 17 in yesterday afternoon, you probably saw or felt the massive potholes that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Their temporary repair is what closed the right lane and ramp to Warrenton Road for nearly three hours. VDOT says some of them were as wide as five feet and temperatures and snow chemicals may have caused them. Permanent repairs there will again affect the drive, when there's a break in the weather.
