If you have ever lost a pet, you know how heartbreaking it can feel.
Most of us have collars for them or maybe even a tracking chip, but if you don't, a new smartphone app can help. It's called PIP. You register and supply your contact information and pet's unique description, then upload a picture. It uses facial pet recognition. If your pet goes missing, PIP contacts your local animal control and rescue agencies, vets and social media with a pet AMBER Alert. It costs $1.49 a month.
