Some more good news for local beer lovers. A Sedona Taphouse is planned at the corner of William and Winchester streets in Fredericksburg's Amelia Square development. The owner plans to buy the land and build the restaurant, hiring 30 people and bringing 850 grand in tax revenue to the city over five years. It would be expected to open within a year.
Just in time for Saturday's Fredericksburg Brewfest at the Fredericksburg Fairfounds, here are some weird ale laws. In Nebraska, it's illegal for you to sell beer unless you also happen to be making a pot of soup. In Iowa you could get a fine if you pop into bed with your wife after just three sips of beer. And in Russia, until recently beer wasn't considered alcohol but a foodstuff instead, sold 24 hours a day and okay to drink in public.
