Arrest in Caroline home invasion

Caroline County authorities have arrested a 20-year old man for a home invasion that happened early Wednesday morning.

20-year-old Joshua Thomas of Corbin allegedly bursting into Robert Newcomb's home and looking for painkillers.

Newcomb is a paraplegic.

Thomas, who is a neighbor of Newcomb's, is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny, armed robbery, possession of a sawed off shotgun and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond in the Pamunkey Regional Jail.
