Contractors preying on local homeowners

Families in the region that have suffered weather related home damage are likely anxious to rebuild.

Most are offering to repair tornado damaged homes. Tom Gallagher of the Virginia Better Business Bureau warns that people should do their homework first. He says that people should never deal with a business that is not licensed in the state. Having insurance is also important to protect the homeowner having the work done. Contractors or their employees who get hurt on the job could hold the homeowners liable if they themselves are not covered.
