FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) - A Canadian teacher is behind bars after police said he stopped in Fredericksburg to meet up with a 13 year old boy he met online.

Police say 36 year old Richard John Doucet was arrested Thursday and charged with attempting to take indecent liberties with a child, using electronic devices to solicit a child and two counts of distributing child pornography.

Doucet is a teacher at a private school in the Montreal area. He is accused of having several sexually explicit online conversations with a detective who posed as a 13 year old boy. He also is accused of sending child pornography to the detective.

Police say Doucet arranged the meeting on his return from an education conference in Atlanta. He is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail with no bond.
