DUI on a mower
Date published: 5/13/2008 IRVING, N.Y. (AP) - At least Merwin Pierce Junior dressed for the occasion. Authorities in western New York charge the tuxedo-wearing Pierce was drunk when he took a riding mower for a late-night spin. Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace says his deputies were responding to a report of an intoxicated person. They say they found Pierce riding away on the mower.
