The vehicle described as that used by the suspect in the incident at Unisex Fashions was stopped at about 9:20 p.m. Monday night near the Olde Forge subdivision in Stafford County. It was during that traffic stop that 19 year-old David Whiteside was identified as the suspect in the armed robbery. He was arrested on unrelated charges in Stafford County.
City detectives then obtained a warrant for Whiteside charging him with robbery.
Whiteside is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
