On 10-11-08, at approximately 1:08 a.m., officers were called to Mapledale Plaza located in the 5400 block of Mapledale Plaza in Dale City, regarding a large disorderly crowd and fight-in- progress. While arresting two individuals who were fighting and dealing with the attempted prevention of the arrest by members of the crowd, an officer was assaulted. During the assault a taser was stolen from an officer's holster. Additional details will be released when available. However, it is improtant to note that in spite of the immediate search of the area and a number of individuals the taser was not located. The taser is fully loaded and could pose a danger to the community.

Ebony Miller, 28, of 4402 Eames Lane, Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery of a Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct. Miller was held on $5,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of November 10, 2008.
Monique Charlton, 33, of 17883 Lunsbury Drive, Dumfries, was charged with Disorderly Conduct. Charlton was held on $1,000 bond and she has a scheduled court date of November 10, 2008.
