A fugitive from Maryland is under arrest suspected in the fatal shooting of one man and the injury of another.
Waldorf resident Terrell Lamont Thompson was allegedly in a fight at a shopping center back in June when shots were fired. A 24-year-old Newburg man was treated at a hospital and released. Michael Lamont Beverly later died from his injuries.
Thompson was arrested on Wednesday at a Baltimore residence without incident. A number of local and federal officials have been on the manhunt for Thompson. He now faces a charge of first degree murder.
