WINTERGREEN, Va. (AP) - Nelson County authorities believe no foul play is involved in the disappearance of a Charlottesville man reported missing from his vacation home at Wintergreen Resort.

Officials say 45 year old Michael Comer arrived at the resort around noon Wednesday and apparently went on a hike. His wife reported him missing when he didn't return by 7:30 p.m. The search was called off late Thursday and Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks says the search did not resume Friday.

Brooks says there's no evidence a crime was committed and the matter is being considered a missing person case.

Comer is president of the private Glenmore Country Club east of Shadwell.
