Charles County, Maryland Sheriff's Office Incident Report

CITIZEN ROBBERY: On July 8 at 11:27 p.m., officers responded to the 12600 block of Council Oak Drive in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation revealed the victim was walking in the area when four suspects approached, displayed a handgun and demanded his money, cell phone and cigarettes. The victim complied and the suspects fled. The victim further reported that just prior to the suspects approaching him, he saw them approach a man near Pin Oak Drive where he believed they committed another robbery. Officers canvassed the neighborhood but did not locate additional victims. Officer P. Hood is investigating.

CHILD RIDING BICYCLE STRUCK BY CAR: On July 8 at 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the 6900 block of Heather Drive in Bryans Road for the report of a child struck by a car. According to witnesses, the child, a 9-year-old boy from Indian Head, was maneuvering his bicycle around the front of a parked ice cream truck when he was struck by a Dodge Stratus traveling south on Heather Drive. The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old girl from Bryans Road, stopped and remained on the scene. The child was flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officer R. Williams of the Traffic Operations Unit is handling the investigation.
