Arrests

Grand Larceny, Possession of Burglarious Tools, occurred on July 8, 2009, in a department store located in the 8200 block of Sudley Road in Manassas. Arrested were Robert E. Robinson, 40, of 1055 Gardenview Loop in Woodbridge, and Latasha Lewis 28, of 9315 Taney Road in Manassas, on the charges. Robinson and Lewis are accused of walking out of the store without paying $205.95 in merchandise. Search incident to arrest the officer found wire cutters in the pockets of Robinson. Robinson and Lewis were held without bond and have a court date of August 28, 2009.

Incidents

Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on July 5, 2009, around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Emerald Drive and Rapidan Lane in Manassas. On 07-08-09, the victim, a 32-year-old man from Manassas reported that he was walking home from work when a vehicle drove up to him, stopped, and the occupants got out and attacked him. The victim was surrounded by five subjects. The suspects punched the victim knocking him to the ground. The victim was kicked several times when he was on the ground. The suspects searched the victim's pockets but they were empty. The victim was treated for a broken jaw. The suspects are described as four Black males, between 25-30-years-old, approximately 6'2" tall, wearing a dark t-shirt. The fifth suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 25-30-years-old, approximately 5'10" tall, thinly built, brown hair, was wearing an orange t-shirt and was wearing earrings in both ears.

Armed Robbery, occurred on July 8, 2009, around 7:45 p.m. in the 7800 block of Sudley Road in Manassas. The victims, a 31-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man from Brandy Station in Virginia reported that an acquaintance robbed them at gun point. The victims reported that the suspect called them and asked for a ride. The suspect then asked the victims to stop the vehicle, threatened them with a gun, and demanded cash. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a Black male, in his early 20's, approximately 6'1" tall, medium built, with dreadlocks. The victims were not injured during the robbery.
