University of Mary Washington Buys More Land
Pushes foundation's real estate assets to over $100 million.

The University of Mary Washington is not stopping its expansion with the Eagle Village property in the Park and Shop shopping center.
Now it will by three more properties. They include; the Pizza Hut restaurant on Powhatan Street in Fredericksburg, an adjoining house at 1214 Powhatan Street and a residence on Thornton Street. The Pizza Hut will continue to operate as a restaurant, and the houses are expected to be used for faculty lodging.
The expansion puts the non-profit University of Mary Washington Foundation's real estate assets at more than $100 million.
