You're among the more than 70-percent who are in the same boat. Ross Kenneth Urken, The Street's Personal Finance Editor says tuition costs continue to rise. he says that over the last 35 years tuition has gone up on average 1,100%
A recent survey conducted by the publication shows that on average family members are socking away nearly $7,000 annually to send a loved one off to college.
Urken says there are several ways to save. One is going to an in-state school, however some small out-of-state schools also offer bargains such as $910 for annual tuition at private Berea College in Kentucky. He suggests shopping around for that education.
