Fredericksburg police said they determined that the robbery that was reported on the canal path on November 20 did not happen.
Investigators are no longer seeking information concerning the three suspects in this incident.
Due to mitigating circumstances involving the alleged victim, and after consultation with the Commonwealth's Attorney, investigators will not be seeking charges against the individual who reported this event.
