**INCIDENTS**
 
Crash – Fatality – On February 4th at 2:08PM, police responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Rippon Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver, and only occupant, of a 2012 Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on Jefferson Davis Hwy when the driver disregarded a red traffic signal and struck the driver of a 2007 Toyota Scion. A passenger in the Scion, the victim, did not request medical treatment at the scene at the time of the crash but was transported by rescue personnel to the hospital later in the evening. The victim was then transported to Fairfax Hospital the following day for further treatment. On February 9th, the victim reportedly succumbed to a head injury sustained as a result of the crash. No other significant injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                                                       
 
Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 17th at 2:12PM, police responded to the Econo Lodge located at 17005 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22026) for a domestic. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and refused to let her leave the hotel room. Minor injuries were reported. The accused left the area and is believed to be in New York.

Residential Burglary – On February 19th at 2:09AM, police responded to the 12100 block of Cathedral Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. Property manager reported to police that the homeowners were out of town and that he observed flashlights illuminated inside the residence. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Officers checked the home and no suspects were located. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. No property was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 18th at 9:30PM, police responded to the 8000 block of Ashland Ave in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM and 8:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. An iPad and other property, valued around $700, were reported missing.
 
**ARRESTS**
 
Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 18th at 1:29PM, police responded to the Home Depot located at 7486 Stream Walk Ln in Manassas (20109) for a shoplifting/grand larceny. Employees reported that an unknown man was inside the store cutting open packages and removing battery packs. The man fled out of the store and was spotted by officers in the parking lot. As officers were attempting to stop the man, he was able to get into his vehicle and nearly struck an officer before fleeing. Officers followed the man to the area of University Blvd and Wellington Rd where he stopped the vehicle and was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported.

                                                                                   **ARRESTS**                                                         
 
Stolen Vehicle | Hit & Run | Felony Eluding  – On February 19th at 12:32AM, police responded to the Molinari Emergency Shelter Home (MESH) located at 8642 Wellington Rd in Manassas (20110) for a missing juvenile report. Staff reported to police that five juveniles (four females and one male) had walked out of the facility. During the course of the evening, the juveniles stole a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado from an address on Reynolds Pl in Manassas City. The juveniles returned to the area of Williamstown in Dumfries where one of the female juveniles left the group. This morning, at 7:42AM, multiple calls were received about a vehicle, matching the description of the truck, driving in a reckless manner on Kilpatrick Pl in Dumfries. The vehicle had reportedly struck an unoccupied vehicle on the street and fled the area. An on-duty Prince William County Sheriff’s deputy located the vehicle just after 8:00AM on Jefferson Davis Hwy approaching Cardinal Dr. The deputy attempted a traffic stop and the driver ignored the deputy’s emergency equipment and fled. The vehicle made a left onto Cardinal Dr and continued to Choate Ct where the driver lost control and drove into a single family home. All four occupants fled the vehicle but were apprehended a short time later. There were four occupants inside the residence at the time of the crash. Responding officers acted quickly to remove the residents from the home. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross has been called to assist with the displaced family. Officers have also since located the fifth juvenile who was not involved in the crash.

A 14 year old female of Dumfries [Not involved in the crash]
Charged with grand larceny and driving without a license

Brandishing – On February 18th at 4:40PM, police responded to the 14700 block of Featherstone Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a brandishing. The victim, a 30 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pointed a handgun at the victim. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

                Charged with brandishing a weapon
