Armed Robbery *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On July 30th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the armed suspect involved in robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Dr in Woodbridge on July 27th. The investigation led detectives to a residence located at 2187 Jennings St in Woodbridge where a search was obtained and executed. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused in reference to this case. The accused was not at this address at time of the search and is believed to reside at an unknown address in Washington D.C. The investigation continues into the identity of the second suspect and the arrest of the SHANNON suspect.

                Daniel Christopher SHANNON, 22, of no fixed address
Described as a black male, 5’11”, 250lbs, with a heavy build, short black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for 2 counts of robbery and 2 counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony
Armed Robbery [Previously Released]On July 27th at 9:50AM, police responded to the 14100 block of Bay Vista Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victims, a 21 year old woman and a 20 year old man – both of Woodbridge, reported to police that they were walking in the area above when they were approached by two unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and took the victims cell phones and an electronic tablet before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. 
Death Resulting in Crash– On July 30th at 7:40AM, police responded to the area of Lomond Dr and Lomond Ct in Manassas (20109) for a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver, and only occupant, of a 1998 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Lomond Ct  when he suffered a medical emergency which caused the vehicle to across Lomond Dr and strike a utility police. The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital where he died. No other vehicle or persons were involved.
The driver of the 1998 Toyota Camry was identified as Joseph Naim SLAIBY, 75, of the 7900 block of Lomond Ct in Manassas
Narcotics Investigation – On June 18th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the possession of suspected heroin with the below arrests which were made without incident following a traffic stop in the 6300 block of Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112). A result of the investigation, suspected heroin and other drug paraphernalia were recovered. These arrests were previously held for investigative purposes.

                Charged with 2 counts of possession of a schedule I or II narcotic

                Brandi Renee BROWN, 28, of 8503 Buckeye Ct in Manassas
                Charged with possession of a schedule I or II narcotic
                Court date: September 13, 2013 | Bond: unavailable
