Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling –
On May 28th
at 11:43PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of W. Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The homeowner reported to police that someone fired multiple rounds at their residence. No injuries or other property damage were reported. This incident is not random and appears to have stemmed from a previous altercation involving the homeowner and the suspects. Detectives are currently working to identify the suspect involved in this incident. The investigation continues.
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] –
On May 22nd
at 4:52PM, officers responded to Ginn Memorial Park located at 3876 Graham Park Rd in Triangle (22172) after receiving information that a missing juvenile was there. Once at the park, officers located the juvenile, identified as the accused. During the encounter the accused struck and pushed one of the officers. As officers attempted to arrest the accused, he continued to be combative. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.
