Incidents and arrests released on: Friday, August 23, 2013
Strong Armed Robbery – On August 22nd at 1:07PM, police responded to the 7-11 located at 14820 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter to make a purchase. Once the employee opened the register, the man reached over the counter, and grabbed the cash drawer before fleeing the store on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Black male, between 18 & 22 years of age, 5’11”, 160lbs with a thin build, black hair, and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and white shoes
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 23rd at 12:10AM, police responded to the area of Nugent Ln and Garcia Way in Dumfries (22026) for a shots fired call. Caller reported to police that multiple suspected gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers checked the area, no suspects were located and no injuries or property damage were reported.
Commercial Burglary – On August 23rd at 5:09AM, police responded to the T-Mobile store located at 7305 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) for an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered that entry was made through a rear door which had been forced open. Officers checked the business and did not locate a suspect(s). No property was reported missing.
