?Murder Investigation *ADDITIONAL ARRESTS – On September 24th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau arrested four juvenile males in connection to the ongoing investigation into the murder of Kenny DIAZ which was reported to have occurred at Marumsco Acre Lake Park located at 14398 Melbourne Ave in Woodbridge on September 21st. The investigation revealed these juveniles were the acquaintances that accompanied DIAZ to the residence of SAMUELS on the day of the murder. During the confrontation, DIAZ and his acquaintances planned to rob SAMUELS in retaliation for the previous robbery on September 12th. The encounter escalated when the handgun was displayed causing the group to disperse and ultimately leading to the abduction, stabbing, and death of Kenny DIAZ. All juveniles listed below were detained and arrested without incident.

All have been charged with attempted armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony

Homicide Investigation [Previously Released] - On September 21st at 3:15PM, police responded to Marumsco Acre Lake Park located at 14398 Melbourne Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a stabbing. Caller reported to police that a man was found in the park bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his stomach. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau are working this case as a homicide and are currently following up on leads. At this point in the investigation, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 4th homicide of 2013.
On September 23rd, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau made multiple arrests in the murder of Kenny DIAZ. During the investigation, detectives discovered that the stabbing was connected to an unreported armed robbery committed against a friend of DIAZ. The robbery was reported to have occurred on September 12th in the 14300 block of Bellona Rd in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation into the robbery revealed that the suspect, Diandra SAMUELS, robbed the friend of DIAZ of an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. Upon learning of the robbery, DIAZ and other acquaintances planned to confront SAMUELS on September 21st at her address on Bellona Dr. During that encounter, multiple acquaintances of SAMUELS were also present. One of those acquaintances, Dominic SMITH, assaulted one of the other parties with a handgun which was taken from one of the acquaintances who accompanied DIAZ. This caused the group to disperse and flee on foot. DIAZ was not able to get away and was subsequently assaulted by SAMUELS before being forced into a vehicle by SAMUELS and other acquaintances [listed below] and driven to the park where he was stabbed and killed by SAMUELS. Detectives worked extensively on this case and were able to identify all of the parties involved in this case. Additional charges and arrests are forthcoming however the main parties involved have been apprehended. These encounters were not random and stemmed from drug dealings. As a result of the investigation, this homicide has been classified as a murder.
On September 24th, members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force located and arrested two additional suspects involved in the murder of Kenny DIAZ. Both suspects were arrested without incident.
                The victim has been identified as Kenny Joseph DIAZ, 18, of Woodbridge

Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 25th at 8:37AM, police responded to a residence located in the 1800 block of Gableridge Tn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary which was reported to have occurred on September 3rd. The homeowner reported to police that she was in her bedroom when she observed an unknown man open her bedroom window. Once observed by the homeowner, the man left the area. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
                Suspect Description:
Black male, between 15 & 20 years of age, 5’7” with a muscular build, medium complexion, short black hair, and clean shaven face
Last seen wearing navy blue basketball style short and no shirt
?Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On September 23rd at 7:00PM, police responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Carmella Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Bristow, reported to police that on two different occasions, September 20th and 21st, she was involved in a physical altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance. During both encounters, the accused repeatedly struck and kicked the victim to her body and head. The victim sustained significant, but non-life threatening, injuries to her face. On September 23rd, the accused also reportedly took the victim’s vehicle without her permission. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused for each incident. The accused was located and arrested in Maryland on September 25th.
