Hernandez, Douglas.JPG?Murder *3rd SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On February 4th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau identified the 3rd suspect involved in the murder which was reported to occurred in the 15000 block of Cardin Pl in Woodbridge on January 15th. The accused, HERNANDEZ, is believed to be the 2nd man that was with DIAZ when the victim was left in the roadway. A warrant has been obtained against HERNANDEZ.

                Described as a Hispanic male, 5’7”, 160lbs, with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes
                Wanted for 1st degree murder

Homicide Investigation (Previously Released) On January 15th at 11:03PM, police responded to the 15000 block of Cardin Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for an unresponsive male. Caller reported to police that he walked outside of his residence and discovered an unknown male lying in the street in front of his residence. Officers arrived and determined that the man, the victim, was suffering from trauma and was not responsive. Rescue personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Witnesses reported to police that 2 unknown men pulled up to the location in a van and left the victim before fleeing the area. The victim is an adult male. This incident does not appear to be random. Detectives are investigating this case as a homicide. On January 16th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau were able to identify and arrest 2 suspects involved in the homicide. The investigation revealed that the accused, FLORES, was involved in the murder of the victim. The second suspect, DIAZ, aided FLORES after the murder took place but is not the second suspect seen on Cardin Pl by witnesses. The white van used in the murder did belong to DIAZ and was used without his consent by FLORES. The victim sustained trauma to his face as a result of a blunt object and a knife. Detectives are still working to identify and arrest the second suspect. This case has been classified as a murder. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Armed Robbery – On February 3rd at 8:28PM, police responded to the 15000 block of Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 26 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was delivering pizzas to an address in the above area when he was robbed. The victim arrived at the delivery address and was confronted by an unknown man sitting on the porch. A verbal altercation ensued and the man struck the victim with a blunt object. The victim was knocked to the ground, at which time, a second unknown man appeared and began going through the victim’s pockets. The men took the victim’s cell phone and wallet, in addition to, the pizzas before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported.

1st male was between 18 & 25 years of age, 6’0”, 150lbs, with a dark complexion, thin build, black hair, brown eyes and a goatee
                Last seen wearing a black seat suit with a hood
 
2nd male was between 25 & 30 years of age, 6’5”, 200lbs, with a dark complexion, medium build, black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing gray sweatpants

?Malicious Wounding – On February 2nd at 1:37AM, police responded to Water’s Edge located at 13188 Marina Way in Woodbridge (22191) for a fight. The victim, a 26 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that he was inside the establishment when he was approached by an unknown man, later identified as the accused. The accused approached the victim from behind and struck him in the face with a beer bottle. Security staff detained the accused and was able to identify him; however the accused was able to flee prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The incident appeared to have stemmed from a verbal altercation between the two men. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused.

Described as a black male, 5’9”, 210lb, with a dark complexion, heavy build, short black hair, brown eyes and a beard
Wanted for malicious wounding
 
Strong Armed Robbery – On February 2nd at 11:17AM, police responded to the area of Emerald Dr near Oronoco Ln in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 27 year old man of Manassas, reported police that he was walking home when a black SUV approached him. As the vehicle got closer, 2 unknown male passengers exited and began to assault the victim. The men went through the victim’s pockets and took his wallet before getting back into the vehicle and fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported.

                The 2 assailants were both described as black males–
1st male was between 18 & 25 years of age, 6’0”, with a dark complexion and heavy build
                Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a bandana over his face
 
                2nd male was between 18 & 25 years of age – no further description
                Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a bandana over his face
 
                The driver was described as a white male, unknown age, with long blonde hair
                There were also 2 other occupants in the vehicle, no description was provided
 
Residential Burglary – On February 1st at 8:26PM, police responded to the 2900 block of Seminole Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime before 7:00PM. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. Jewelry, an iPad, laptop, 2 cell phones and a gaming console, valued around $1,300, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On January 31st at 11:09PM, police responded to the 16600 block of Flotilla Way in Woodridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM and 9:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been forced open. Two gaming consoles with related equipment, valued around $800, were reported missing.
 
Commercial Burglary – On January 31st at 5:42AM, police responded to the DJ’s Towing Service Center located at 1300 Profit Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:20PM on January 30th and 5:30AM on January 31st. Entry appeared to have been made through a front glass door which had been broken out. Inspection stickers, valued around $1,000, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On January 21st at 12:31PM, police responded to the 3600 block of Stewart Ln in Dumfries (22026) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on January 18th and 11:30PM on January 20th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. Jewelry, electronics and other property, valued around $4,000, were reported missing.
 
**ARRESTS**
 
?Abduction | Assault & Battery – On February 1st at 3:10AM, police responded to the 3700 block of Port Hope Point in Triangle (22172) for an assault. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pinned the victim to the ground. The victim was able to get up and attempted to leave multiple times. Each time, the accused grabbed the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. A neighbor heard the commotion and contacted police. The accused fled the scene prior to police arrival. Minor injuries were reported. On February 3rd, police located the accused at hid address on Trident Ln. Upon arrest, the accused was in possession of marijuana.

?Attempt to Disarm a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 3rd at 2:50AM, police responded to the 1400 block of California Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a domestic. While investigating the incident, officers attempted to interview one of the parties involved, the accused. While speaking to the accused, he initially lunged towards an officer and attempted to grab his firearm. The officer and another officer were able to detain the accused without further incident. The accused was also charged with assaulting a family member, a 55 year old man of Woodbridge. No injuries were reported by the victim or officers.
