**INCIDENTS**
 
Residential Burglary – On April 26th at 11:26PM, police responded to the 1500 block of Grosbeak Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM on April 22nd and 11:26PM on April 26th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through a basement window. Jewelry, 2 TV’s, 3 gaming consoles, and other electronics, valued around $1,800, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 26th at 9:16PM, police responded to the 14700 block of Barksdale St in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that a rear sliding glass door was discovered open and an interior lamp had been turned on. The residence was checked and no property was reported missing. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence.
 
Commercial Burglary – On April 26th at 11:35AM, police responded to Sweet Baking Inc. located at 7945 Wellingford Dr in Manassas (20110) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:00AM on April 25th and 11:30AM on April 26th. There were no signs of forced entry into the business. Machinery, valued around $130,000, was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 28th at 2:37PM, police responded to the 15200 block of Streamside Ct in Dumfries (22025) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 12:00PM on April 21st and 3:15PM on April 27th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a rear door which had been tampered with. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
 

Stump, Michael.jpgAggravated Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On April 25th at 8:25PM, police responded to the 2300 block of Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 19 year old woman of Stafford, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were driving in the area above when they began to argue. During the argument, the accused threw a glass of water at the victim and assaulted her. The victim sustained a significant injury to her arm as a result of the encounter. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

                Charged with aggravated malicious wounding and domestic assault & battery

?Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny – On April 28th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit made an arrest following multiple incidents of thefts from vehicles and a burglary which were reported to have occurred off of Bridlewood Dr in the Gainesville area (20155) of Prince William County. On April 26th at 11:34PM, police responded to the 8500 block of Foal Ct for a report of a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 9:00PM on April 25th and 5:00AM on April 26th, an unknown person entered an attached garage through an open door and removed a DVD player, valued around $300, from an unlocked vehicle parked inside. Around the same time, another officer responded to the 8400 block of Cleveland Bay Ct for a report of a vehicle that had been stolen between 9:00PM and 11:00PM. The vehicle was parked in the driveway with the keys inside. While the officer was at the residence conducting the investigation he heard a loud explosion nearby. Officers and fire crews found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames which was later determined to be the vehicle stolen from Cleveland Bay Ct. Over the course of the weekend, other thefts from vehicles were reported to police around the same area. In one incident, a firearm was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Filly Ct between 10:00PM on April 25th and 1:45PM on April 26th. Police got a tip about a post on social media which led to one of the suspects. Following the investigation, the accused, a juvenile, was arrested. The investigation continues into other possible thefts in the area. The Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office is also assisting with the investigation involving the vehicle arson.
