NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. (AP) - Pyott Boone Electronics is planning a $6 million expansion of its Tazewell County operations that's expected to create 80 jobs over the next three years.
Media outlets report that the North Tazewell-based company announced the expansion Thursday.
Pyott Boone manufactures electronic components for the mining and defense industries.
The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission gave the company a $600,000 grant to help with the expansion. Pyott Boone also received a $250,000 grant from the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority.
