Ravens seek to correct flaws during well-timed bye

by AP posted Oct 22 2012 5:30PM

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) - Ravens coach John Harbaugh has accepted the brunt of responsibility for his team's 43-13 loss to Houston on Sunday.

Harbaugh said Monday, "It's on me. We were not in position to win that game."

He said the Ravens weren't prepared for Houston's scheme or intensity, and he said crowd noise was also a factor.

Baltimore trailed 29-3 at halftime and absorbed its most lopsided loss since Harbaugh took over as head coach four years ago.

Despite the defeat, the Ravens are alone atop the AFC North and take a 5-2 record into the bye week.

Harbaugh says, "This week's going to be good for us. ... The bye week comes at a great time."

The Ravens next face division foe Cleveland on the road on Nov. 4.
