The Stafford County Sheriff's Office said the body found August 16th near the 140 northbound off ramp of I-95, the Stafford Exit, is that of a 25 to 40 year old woman.
The remains had been in thearea where they were located for at least 1 year, possibly longer.
Detectives are handling the case as a suspicious death because of the evidence found at the scene.
