Saving Energy Using a Common Sense Approach

Saving on energy is likely a top priority for families as the economy continues to struggle. 
Temperatures have been giving us a bit of a break with the air conditioning across the region, but more hot weather is still likely before the end of summer. In addition to turning up the thermostat to save energy, reverse ceiling fans and adjust the hot water heater. 
Andy Farmer with the State Corporation Commission's Energy Sense Program says common sense tips make a big difference. There is also a home energy audit on-line to help save in other ways at www.virginiaenergysense.org.
