School Bond Referendum on Caroline Ballot

by Frank Hammon posted May 30 2013 10:23AM

Look for a $25 million bond referendum on the ballot in Caroline County this November. The money is needed for improvements at Caroline High School and Madison Elementary School. The two schools are beyond capacity and need infrastructure renovations.
Both the board of supervisors and the school board opted not to place a second $16 million dollar referendum for a new elementary school on the ballot. That school would be built on the site of the old  Ladysmith Elementary School.
