The 19th century scrapbook of a Confederate general's niece in Virginia has been sold at auction to a New York man.

The Free Lance-Star that the scrapbook was sold Tuesday for $4,400 to Kevin F. Kelly of New Palz, N.Y.
Turner compiled the scrapbook from 1852 to 1875. She was a niece of Confederate Gen. John Bankhead Magruder.
