Small Business Survey Finds Concerns Over Finances for 2013

A new survey of small business owners indicates that managing finances tops the list of concerns for 2013. Financial Expert Jay Desmarteau with TD Bank says they polled 400 small business owners.
He says planning is half the battle, but being too short staffed can mean that falls by the wayside. Most of them that do make an annual financial plan and goal list are more successful. If a business does get declined for a loan and does not know why, they should contact their banker.
The survey finds that men spend more time on the books than female owners. Next to the bottom line, managing employees comes in as the second most stressful issue. Some are also concerned about new healthcare regulations and possible tax hikes as fiscal cliff talks continue in Washington.
