As of last night, Virginia State Police had already responded to more than 250 calls for service south of the Fredericksburg area in Virginia, so be safe if you have to drive that way today. Make sure your car is cleared off and that you slow down this morning. Don't tailgate any of the many pieces of VDOT equipment you'll likely encounter and give emergency workers room.
Toward the northern Neck and Norfolk areas, much more snow fell. Governor Terry McAullife stopped short of issuing a state of emergency here, but is promising road crews are beefed up to clear roads.
VRE officials have warned that though treated, many of its platforms are slick, so don't run. The sun should provide a little help with melting today, but falling temperatures tonight will mean refreezing later on and black ice tomorrow morning. We're alot luckier than Georgia though. Its' State Patrol has responded to over 1,000 crashes through this morning.
