Parents in Stafford County Public Schools have until next Thursday to get copies of some student records that will be destroyed.
They are short-term retention documents from official student records of those who graduated or left a Stafford school in 2006 to 2007 or prior years. They might include special services, special education files and health files that will be shredded.
If you need a record from your child's file, call the school that your child left by Thursday. If they do not hear from you, the records will be destroyed. Long-term documents will be kept, as required by the Library of Virginia.
