Good news for Stafford County. Fitch Rating Service announced Tuesday an upgrade to the county's bond rating for lease revenue bonds from AA- to AA.
It cites two key factors: superior economic and financial performance. Fitch says Stafford has shown significant financial resilience, strong revenue performance and consistent budgeting.
Fitch says Stafford entered and emerged from the recession with strong reserves and financial flexibility.
