Virginia State Police continue to investigate the death of a Page County in Fauquier County Friday evening.
A Spokeswoman says the man drove his car into the path of an Amtrak train that was heading from Charlottesville to Washington. The car crossed the tracks at at an area with no flashing lights or gates. The train's conductor could not stop in time and hit 54 year old James Wood's Chevy Cavalier. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say none of the 200 passengers on the train were injured.
