According the Free Lance-Star Spotsylvania County authorities on Thursday still had not completed the investigation into the March 7 accident in which a truck hit and killed popular local radio personality Brian Strobel.
Strobel was walking a dog in the area in Spotsylvania when a truck driven by a 42-year-old man left the roadway, striking a mailbox and Strobel. Strobel was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators were examining the vehicle and still had not determined what, if any, charges would be filed against the driver.
According to a search warrant filed in Spotsylvania Circuit Court the driver is identified as Ralph Rapillo.
