Student faces charges in bomb threat

A seventeen year-old Spotsylvania boy who is a student at Massaponax High School is facing charges for making a bomb threat to the school.

The school was placed on lock down around 11:25 Tuesday morning and searched. Several bomb sniffing dogs from Spotsylvania, Stafford, Fauquier and Dulles Airport were brought in to assist with the search. No bomb was found and no students were injured.

The student was not at the school at the time of the threat.

Tuesday was the first day of classes in Spotsylvania.
