The Invasive Snakehead Could Make it to Fredericksburg

by Deirdre Blake posted Sep 5 2013 7:41AM
We've heard the Potomac River is the epicenter of the invasive snakehead fish, but they could eventually end up closer to Fredericksburg.
Some scientists and anglers are wondering if we can eat them out of existence first.  They look pretty ugly, but weigh from a few pounds to well over 15. Many people that have grilled one say the white, sweet and flaky meat is close to cod or flounder.
A Spotsy man recently caught one that beat a Guiness World record.
