Decision Ahead on Penn State Antitrust Lawsuit

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A federal judge in Pennsylvania says she'll decide in the next couple weeks whether to dismiss Gov. Tom Corbett's antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA over penalties against Penn State.
U.S. Judge Yvette Kane had pointed questions for both sides during a nearly two-hour hearing Monday.
Corbett says the NCAA went too far in getting Penn State to agree last summer to a $60 million fine, a multiyear ban on postseason football play and a temporary reduction in scholarships.
The university agreed to the sanctions over its handling of the child molestation scandal involving former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. Penn State isn't a party to the lawsuit.
Sandusky is serving a 30- to 60-year prison sentence after being convicted of 45 counts of child sexual abuse.

NASCAR's Busch Expects Payback from Kahne

CONCORD, N.C. (AP) - Kyle Busch won't be surprised if Kasey Kahne intentionally wrecks him sometime soon.
In fact, Busch says he's already joked with Kahne about a potential payback and even asked him not to make if it happens.
The score is 3-0 in Busch's favor after an incident last Saturday night at Darlington led to Kahne spinning as the two raced for the lead with 30 laps remaining.
Busch on Friday shrugged it off as a product of hard racing, but admitted wrecking Kahne at Daytona and Talladega were mistakes on his part.
Now he waits to see if Kahne will exact his revenge in Saturday night's Sprint All-Star Race. Busch doesn't think Kahne is the kind of guy to intentionally wreck another competitor, but said he'll understand if it happens.

The invitation-only polo match drew hundreds of guests including supermodel Karolina Kurkova and fashion designers Jason Wu and Valentino.
Prince Harry said he's had a wonderful week in the U.S. and thanked the American people for their generosity. He said without that support, many children in Lesotho would be lacking basic needs such as food, shelter and care.

VIDEO - PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Tiger Woods had the last word against Sergio Garcia by winning The Players Championship on Sunday.

He hit into the water twice to make a quadruple-bogey 7, and then hit his tee shot into the water on the 18th in a stunning collapse.
Woods joined Fred Couples, Davis Love III and Steve Elkington as multiple winners on the TPC Sawgrass. It was his 78th career win on the PGA Tour. Woods was in the scoring trailer when David Lingmerth missed a long birdie putt for a playoff.

NASCAR's Larson Grateful for "Next9" Initiative

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - Kyle Larson is grateful for the exposure he's received as part of NASCAR's "Next9" initiative. He is confident it won't take long for the group of up-and-coming racers to compete for checkered flags and championships at the sport's highest level.
Larson, 20, will continue his rookie season in NASCAR's Nationwide Series on Friday night at Darlington Raceway. Larson won the truck race at Rockingham last month to become the first from NASCAR's "Drive For Diversity" program to win on the circuit's three national touring series.
Larson has enjoyed getting to know some of the sport's other rising young drivers, including 17-year-old Chase Elliott and 19-year-old Darrell Wallace Jr.
Larson says the program has allowed him to meet NASCAR executives and taught him to handle off-track obligations tied to racing success.

NASCAR's Logano to Pull Double Duty in Iowa and Pocono

NEWTON, Iowa (AP) - Joey Logano will run a NASCAR Nationwide race in Iowa in June, the night before competing in a Sprint Cup event at Pocono.
The Iowa Speedway says Logano will return to its 0.875-mile track for its Nationwide opener on June 8. Logano beat Kevin Harvick in a K&N Pro Series race at Iowa in 2007 and led the first competitive lap ever run at the track as a 16-year-old in 2006.
Logano says that racing at Iowa and Pocono should be fun and that he's looking to go "two-for-two" for the weekend.
Logano is the biggest driver yet committed to Iowa's first Nationwide race of the season. The track will host another Nationwide race in August in addition to an IndyCar event and two Camping World Trucks series races.

Strasburg to Make Next Scheduled Start

ATLANTA (AP) - Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg is expected to make his next scheduled start after experiencing no pain during a bullpen session in Atlanta.
Strasburg had some discomfort in his right arm during a start Monday night against the Braves. While manager Davey Johnson was initially concerned it could be something serious, it appears Strasburg had nothing more than an irritated nerve from using an electrical stimulation machine.
He threw in the bullpen before Wednesday's game against the Braves, the normal routine for a starting pitcher. Johnson says the session went "great" and the pitcher "didn't have any discomfort."
Johnson is more concerned about outfielder Jayson Werth, who is missing his second straight game because of a strained right hamstring and a bruised left ankle.
