Heavier than normal traffic can be expected along area roads and in parts of downtown Fredericksburg Thursday.
Michelle Obama is coming to speak at the University of Mary Washington at 5:00 p.m., but her arrival and departure times and routes are not being disclosed. Fredericksburg Police Officers will help assist getting the First Lady here and back, through rolling intersections closures, to minimize delays.
The biggest traffic impact will come from the 3,000 event attendees arriving and leaving. They are encouraged to come early and consider using the university parking garage and walking to the event.
