Two men are jailed after a drug transaction goes wrong and both of them get shot.
Authorities say 25 year old Travis Burley of Richmond and another unknown man met 29 year old Matthew Johnson of Spotsylvania in the parking lot of Cancun Margarita Bar & Grill on Plank Road just before 8:00 Wednesday night to make the deal.
Burley got into Johnson's car and they started fighting. Police says Burley pulled out a semi-auto handgun and the men fought over it. Burley shot Johnson in the left hand and left calf and accidentally shoots himself in the left hand as well.
Burley call 911 from near the scene and Johnson called from a nearby hotel. The third man ran away. Both are treated at a hospital and released now face charges.
